Biri Biri
Biri Biri is a small audio tool built to turn normal sound into PS1 style audio.
Old PlayStation era games had a very specific sound. Audio was crunchy, compressed, and slightly unstable because of the hardware limits of the time. Biri Biri recreates those same limitations so modern audio can sound like it came straight out of a retro console game.
Just load an audio file and experiment with the processing controls to reshape it into gritty low-fidelity sound.
What Biri Biri Does
Biri Biri simulates classic console audio limitations using effects like:
• Sample rate reduction • Bit depth reduction • Pitch shifting • Digital distortion • Echo and delay • Low cut and high cut filters • Signal instability and jitter
These controls let you transform clean audio into authentic PS1 style sound.
Preset Vault
The tool includes a vault with more than 200 presets.
Each preset applies different combinations of settings to quickly generate retro console style audio. You can preview them instantly and tweak the parameters further if you want more control.
Workflow
Using Biri Biri is simple:
- Load an audio file
- Preview the sound in real time
- Adjust parameters or try presets
- Export the processed audio as a WAV file
Who This Is For
Biri Biri is useful for:
• Retro game developers • PS1 style game projects • Sound designers • Indie developers • Anyone experimenting with low fidelity audio
